We are pleased to announce the international 2017 KAUST Conference on ‘Epigenetics and Environment. This event marks a strategic collaborative research program between the KAUST Environmental Epigenetics Program (keep.kaust.edu.sa) and the Center for Epigenetics and Metabolism (CEM) at UCI (www.som.uci.edu/cem/); and will cover the multifaceted mechanistic roles that the Epigenome and Phenotypic variation play in Development, Cell, and tissue Identity, Plasticity, Adaptation, Regeneration, and Inheritance.
The Conference will be held on February 12-15, 2017 at KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (kaust.edu.sa) located on the shores of the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia.
Confirmed speakers include Emiliana Borrelli, Pia Cosma, Juan Carlos Izpisua-Belmonte, Wolfgang Fischle, Johannes Graeff, Petra Hajkova, Axel Imhof, Timothy Ravasi, Albin Sandelin, Paolo Sassone-Corsi, Robert Schneider, Maria Torres-Padilla, Azim Surani, Ueli Grossniklaus, Raffaella Santoro, Nicola Iovino and Wouter de Laat.
The program will comprise five sessions that include lectures from the speakers and short talks by selected participants. These participants will be chosen by the organizers based on the abstracts submitted. There will be two poster sessions as well as interactive activities involving all speakers and participants.
Additionally, the conference offers the opportunity to discover KAUST, its community, and vision in a changing world, not forgetting the natural beauties of this part of the world.
